I had similar issue with kernel 4.8.0-42. No Network connectivity after boot, even screen resolution was stuck in 4:3. Had to go back on 4.8.0-41 and run 'sudo apt-get install linux-generic' that fixed everything Seems like the previous kernel upgrade failed. So, I scan the apt log to find some k
