Hello, I decided to upgrade to Ubuntu 24 and try the new 6.8 kernel for
a while. Unfortunately, the microphone stopped working as well. I tried
different kernels, and the bug seems to manifest in all 6.6 kernels and
newer.

1) The headphones are plugged into the computer's headphone out jack; I
couldn't find a headphone jack on the monitor.
2) The upgrade from the 6.5-based kernel to the 6.8 kernel was done
automatically by /usr/bin/unattended-upgrade, as shown in the apt logs.
