I haven't had this problem for years, so yeah, it can be closed.

This problem has re-appeared in 11.10. A way to set the default format

Public bug reported:
Frequently when I try to switch to another application from Chromium
with alt-tab, Chromium remains in the foreground, and I have to minimize
it to reach any applications whose windows are covered by Chromium.
I haven't been able to find any consistent reason why.

I've had something similar happen once with WingIDE (not appearing as an
icon, and it was not possible to alt-tab to it), so it may not be just
LibreOffice.

Public bug reported:
If you try to add the Trosa, Södermanland, Sweden location, the final
"Apply" button doesn't make anything happen.
There is a traceback on stdout:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/indicator-weather", line 1647, in on_apply
wi.settings.save_location_det
This also affects me. I've tried with isight-firware-tools 1.6 from
source, and there was no difference.
I have a Macbook 4,1.
This worked under 10.04, but not 11.04.

loaded)
ls -l /lib/firmware/isight.fw:

I can confirm that the bug is fixed. I didn't even need to enable
backports.

A patch has been released for ALSA 1.0.19 that fixes this issue.

See here for links to instructions of how to install this for testing.

Now we need to push this fix
It seems to me that the issue with low level and poor sound quality is because
the third speaker of MacBooks aren't used. This is reported in this alsa-bug:
