My Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro keyboard and bluetooth dongle paired
and are working in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic-beta Live-CD. I am typing this
from my MediaBoard :)

You might be interested in my comment on bug #268502 where I tested my
Mediaboard with the latest kernel with bluetooth fixes. In short I had
some success. But there are a couple kinks to work out yet before this
regression is completely fixed up.

You might be missing a step or two. For reference my complete steps are:
1. sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth stop
2.
3. sudo hciconfig hci0 up
4. hciconfig -a

Yes this also affects any 'Windows share' that has been bookmarked.
Steps to reproduce
1. Places->Connect to Server...
2. select Service Type 'Windows share'
3. enter appropriate login details, but DO NOT enter the share name
4. check 'Add bookmark'
5. click connect
* A nautilus window will open

Is shrugging off responsibility because the flash plugin is proprietary
the best attitude?
Somehow Firefox manages to use the flash plugin without crashing.
