I forgot the mention that this issue still existed in Feisty Herd 1
(Kubuntu LiveCD), but doesn't seem to exist in Feisty after editing my
/etc/apt/sources.list file and running an apt-get dist-upgrade. After
upgrading, the x.org file now contains the proper information to support
my Dell 2700WFP

I burnt the livecd in K3b at 8x (K3b set that as the min. for my
burner). The Md5 Sum was verified correctly and there were no errors
found when checking the cd. The installation still halted with the
white and pink screen after the keyboard selection portion of the
installer.

Hi,
I burnt it in K3B on the "Auto" setting, so it ranged from 4x to 40x.
The Md5 Sum was verified correctly. I can retry at 4x to see if that
has anything to do with the issue.

When running Kubuntu Feisty Fawn Herd 1 from LiveCD, the installer is
halted after the keyboard selection portion of the installer. After
selecting the proper keyboard, I proceed with the installation process,
however, I am greeted with a white
Confirmed. This issue still exists in Feisty Herd 1. I resolved this
by editing the /etc/X11/xorg.conf as shown in the original report, as I
am using an NVIDIA card.
