Hang on. Does the "free" command has a bug too ? I mean, top, htop, free
all are showing 72gb of used memory whereas the guest really is using
8gb. It is the first time this happens in two year of service. None of

As a side note, in a 16.04>18.04 upgrade path, it can make a server
admin loose a lot of time figuring out what is going on with file
uploads.

I installed trusty today on the same motherboard but using an other SSD:
a Samsung 840
I have the exact same issue, so the Marvell controller support is, with
no doubt, the guilty.
