While Qa'ing apps in the software center I keep getting errors in the terminal

This is since I've upgraded to Raring.
Click empty Rubbish bin
it opens up Nautilus but doesn't show you the rubbish bin - it shows you
you home directory.

Problem
I've run it all morning while Iw as working.
It is connected to the wifi, but it is seems to lose many many packets,
pages times out, lags on irc.
this is my 5th attempt to get this comment uploaded.

I've run the trace, the wifi wasn't working well. I let it run for a
while then restarted the drivers and let the trace run. When I did this
no issue occurred.

this has only recently started.
If I start any application that needs sound - vlc, rhythmbox I hear
nothing
I killall -9 pulseaudio
play vlc or rhythmbox and I then have sound
I lose my ability to use the sound bar from the indicator area and need
to control volume directl

I have difficultly connecting to wifi and the only way around this is to
* rmmod iwlwifi
* modprobe iwlwifi
If i disconnect or restart the wifi I need to do the above again to get
back working

This was happening on Quantal and also since I've upgraded to Raring.
The only way I can get around it is if I -
* rmmod iwlwifi
* modprobe iwlwifi
I can then get the wifi working, if I disconnect wifi and have to
reconnect I need to repeat the above.
