I can confirm Paul's experience. Copy (shift-ctrl-c) works fine but
Paste (shift-ctrl-v or any other shortcut I put in there for that
matter) doesn't work. Shift-insert does work as does pasting from the
menu.

So I looked through the code and did some tests and I think the actual
word wrapping is behaving as intended, unlike in bug #277133. The issue
is a bit finer here in that we should actually be resizing the space
alloted to the text based on it's length. So if you need a few more

Certainly if a patch for this fix materialized it would probably be a
good candidate for karmic-updates but it doesn't seem that a specific
fix has been found. It does however appear that the bug got fixed
somewhere in updating the driver to entirely new versions. Ubuntu's
policy is not to push an

randomly drop. There is no error or anything that I can tell, I just
don't get the messages. I checked in the log and don't see them either.
This occurred both in Karmic and now in L

I ran into this upgrading from Karmic last night. I had no wifi and
Jockey gave an error when I tried to activate the Broadcom STA driver. I
ran dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.32-13-generic and then was able to
activate the driver and wifi now works. I am attaching the
/var/lib/dkms/bcmwl/ dir fr
After talking with Milan and others on IRC, it looks like my patch is
pretty pointless. On the other hand, the new UI is slick and looks nice
for typical users. I think maybe we want to solve these "mass-user"
issues elsewhere.
