Nope. I'm using a plain Lenovo ThinkPad T500, but I had this problem too
on my old ThinkCentre. As a matter of fact I'm baffled by the fact that
I seem to be the only one in the world (still) experiencing this. I
don't have odd settings, I haven't hacked Ubuntu or installed any weird
applications.
This has been closed a long time I see. I found the bug on Google
because I'm experiencing the exact same thing in Ubuntu Intrepid:

So either it's not fixed completely or it has been reintroduced. My
version of gnome-screensaver is 2.24.0-0ubuntu2.

If you delete all bookmarks from Nautilus (Hardy Heron), the default set
of bookmarks will be restored upon reboot. I don't know if it's some
weird feature, but I'd actually like to have no bookmarks cluttering up
the Places menu.
