I can confirm that kderichs workaround works. removing or renaming
i915.ko seem to make update-initrams roll again.

This is a terribly stupid change if you, like me, want to have a
platform independent, portable, encrypted drive using Truecrypt. If you
can't run the Truecrypt binary from the drive, you'll have to install it
on the system, which severely affects the portability aspect. Not very

I can confirm this behaviour on Kubuntu 10.10. I guess it's applicable
to Ubuntu 10.10 as well then.

It's not really serious, but gives a bad user-experience for sure.
Should have a higher priority for that reason. We don't want our users
to experience KDE as the DE where you can't choose how your cursors will
look like, right?
