When I ran update-manager -d, clicked upgrade and then upgrade once more
update-manager crashed.
The problem was line 384 of utils.py:
d.window.set_functions(Gdk.FUNC_MOVE)
It seems like this may not be necessary or may not do anything:

You can switch to a terminal after taking the keyboard out of raw mode.
The X window system puts the keyboard into raw mode but stops responding
so it will ignore all key presses. You can take it out of raw mode on
most machines running linux by pressing ALT->Sys Rq(Same Key as Print
Screen)->r th
I can confirm this as well running latest Hardy Beta x86-64 with updated
packages and a GeForce 8400M GT using the nvidia restricted driver. The
x display will lock up and I have to use alt->Sys Rq->r and
ctrl->alt->F1 to get to a terminal then top shows that compiz.real is
taking up 100% cup and
I got the same issue when attempting to switch from "Normal" to "Extra"
in the appearance settings.

Ricky, try installing b43-fwcutter using apt-get install b43-fwcutter
using Hardy. You might be in the same boat I am and you chipset is only
supported by b43legacy which for some reason is missing from the latest
kernel package. I'm making a custom kernel which has the b43legacy
driver compiled

3. After you see the channel name typed by you, right click on it, and select
