I have working speaker sound on the NB205-N330 running Karmic if I use the 2.6.32.2 kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.32.2/ and add the line options snd-hda-intel index=0 model=auto to the end of /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf. -- [karmic] no sound on toshiba nb2
