As per comment #27, this is how I arrived at the state I'm in - where
the tree is visible but the details of the objects throw errors.
Is there value in my trying it again? I've changed nothing since I last
ran the command. It looks like comment #37 also has already run this

I tried a few other tools to look and and modify my LDAP data - none of
them can view and change properly. I tried:
Luma was able to connect and browse tree, but object properties would

I've upgraded via the PPA.
It failed right off the bat, stating something was wrong with the config.php
file
I renamed the file, and ran dpkg-reconfigure phpldapadmin.
I answered the questions to mimic my previous (existing) installation.
Once this was all complete I was able to login. I can see

I am writing this from a LiveCD of Lucid, with no additional PPAs
installed or anything. I am running amd64.
The tablet still does not work. I am able to get it associated with
relative ease (associating works, but syslog shows errors. Turning the
tablet off then on again syslog shows no errors

I did not apply your patch, but used the one from the other thread I
linked to. it looks to do the same thing though. After applying the
patch I can now login. However trying to view the details of any user
in my LDAP tree returns replaces the details frame with another error

Sorry, I'm sending this apport test via a LIVE CD, so am not sure how I
could use the latest kernel. I may upgrade in the near future to 10.4
but am sad that the problem was not fixed.
Also note that Fedora 13 beta has the same problem (using their Live
DVD).

I believe this is caused by a dependency problem after filing a bug with
the horde team (http://bugs.horde.org/ticket/8873).
It looks like I was able to resolve this by installing something in
pear, following some older docs. I believe the command that fixed this

I have installed a fresh copy of Hardy and this behavior works as
expected now. I won't be able to reproduce this problem and nobody else
seems to have reported it, so it is safe to assume it was a config issue
on my side and close the bug.

I've found that moving the tablet within 6 inches of the bluetooth
adapter resolves this problem. It is not ideal (the range is supposed
to be 15 meters?) but it works. If you're willing to troubleshoot I am

I'm booting off a brand new gutsy install, and a new motherboard (and

When attempting to modify the LDAP lookup mapping in about:config
(searching for attrmap), any change to a TB setting for HomeState causes
the LDAP lookup to fail entirely.
Normal (working) flow:
1 - Open about:config, search for 'attrmap'
2
One other comment - restoring about:config to default then allows the
LDAP query to proceed normally, so it is the presence of this change to
the attrmap that is causing this bug.
I've tried replacing the string 'mozillaHomeState' with:
1 - 'mozillaHomeState,st'
2 - 'st,mozillaHomeState'
3 - 'st'
I've done a little exploring of this issue using the error console.
This actually has to do with my efforts to get TB working with my LDAP
directory for the address book. I've discovered a way of reproducing
the error:
Normal (working) flow:
1 - Open about:config, search for 'attrmap'
2 - Ensure

I have set up an LDAP directory on a remote server. In Feisty I set up
Thunderbird to query this address book during mail composition for
address completion. When beginning to type an address, the query would
work and the matching addresses
It seems like PulseAudio-esound-compat is the fix here, as it resolved
the problem for me. I haven't been brave enough to reboot or log out
yet, as I'm afraid that my entire sound subsystem is going to be borked
by installing this ... but at least I have the audio preview back!
