The radeon.new_pll=0 kernel line works on my ATI X1600 (HP nc8430 laptop). The 3d and desktop effects are not working with this trick. Strange thing is: If I use my TFT monitor as a second screen in a dual head setup and don't use the kernel line, the laptop screen is ok. TFT monitor is not ok,
