The boot experience in lucid is epic fail. I have this problem with nvidia
driver but and to my dell inspiron 1011 i have very long boot time. About 30
sec.
I dont know what they have done but i can see the result of what they have make.
This is very sad because everything else in this release o

I just confirmed this workaround does function on the ubuntu lucid alpha
3 live. I created a bootable sd card with unetbootin and the alpha3
iso, then edited the file syslinux.cfg on the sdcard and changed the
similar default line to the following:

Same probleme here, I've got a Dell Inspiron 6400 and the "MediaDirect" key
worked great with Amarok in Gutsy but since Hardy it causes kded to crash.
Protox's advice didn't work for me and when crashed, even if I try to restart
it I can't use the "MediaDirect" nor the volume buttons (which work

only way to install driver is with envyng tool. The strange is that
jocker-tool not recognize my card and that i need driver.

I have install kubuntu hardy heron alpha 4 and the problem still
exist.The problem now is more difficult because they have translate
files like dekstop,movies,music etc.Now you can search all the files
with strigi and you cant install a deb package because gdebi dont
recognize greek names.I dont kn
I have the same problem.I tried the command and i think it fix the
problem with vlc player.Before i cant play audio cd from there.General i
cant open audio cd with audacious,with amarok i can only open an audio
cd in one of my driver in my system.I think kubuntu have problem to
manage the dvd-cd dr
I have notice something.When i put in nvidia setting resolution to auto
i can login with the correct resolution but when i put in nvidia
settings 1680x1050 then i have false resolution in my system.

My system is Kubuntu 7.10.I have change my monitor to a wide samsung
2232bw.The problem was that every time i login to the system the
resolution was 1280x1024.I reinstall nvidia driver,i set with sudo
nvidia settings to the correct resolution,i add xorg.conf
manual.Nothing..Ev

I have found and other programme that have problem with encodings.I
think we must change the bug title.It seems that kubuntu have enconding

it seems that some programs can not regognize the greek folders.I create
all of them with konqueror.The package winff i put it only for
example.The same package i can install it if i remove it to other
folder.
