Workaround in the release notes for this bug does not work. After
installation, when I boot the system up, it never asks for a passphrase
to unlock the encrypted volume. init script waits for root device and
finally gives up dropping me into initramfs. Last error messages are:

sudo poweroff does not work for me, but suspend does. The laptop only

After lots of experiments I found out that the problem is with the
xhci_hcd module. The strange thing is that other people with the same
laptop model didn't encounter the same issue. The following script fixed
it (placed under /etc/pm/sleep.d/):

Same issue, on a late August Oneiric (amd64) fresh install.
Using the above-mentionned workaround or fixing manually the symlink:
# rm /usr/lib32/libGL.so.1
# ln -s /usr/lib32/fglrx/libGL.so.1 /usr/lib32/libGL.so.1
Solves the problem, although in a non-optimal manner.
