When I switch the sharing toggle on, as soon as I go our of the panel
and go back in it reverts to the off position. I am using control
centre version 3.16.3 with Ubuntu Gnome 15.10. No indication is given

interestingly once i get my computer to accept input from the keyboard
and mouse, the caps LED ceases to work (the caps function still works
though, just no indicator as to whether its on or off)

I've just developed a very similar bug on my xubuntu machine.
I'm using a Logitech diNovo and a Microsoft IntelliMouse
When I Load into xfce for login then i have no use of the keyboard or
mouse, however the optical mouse is lit and the caps lock works.
