Ever since I installed the Karmic Koala my system (Acer Core 2 Duo
laptop) crashes every couple of days. The GUI crashes, a login prompt is
visible for a while and then the system freezes.

Will this be fixed anytime soon? This is a serious regression. I have

Having the same problem with both Eclipse 3.4 and 3.5RC4 and both latest
sun jvm and latest openjdk on Jaunty:
