Happened for me as well, dbus-daemon (a fork of it) started to use 100% CPU when I tried to start thunderbird, which never came up. It did not stop when I killed the thunderbird process manually, but it did stop when I also killed nepumuk-server (which I read was a candidate, too). Hope this helps
