I can confirm this bug aswell with ubuntu 9.10 alternate i386 in
combination with a Nec ND-3520A DVD drive.
At aprox. 70% of the installation (APT Source):
"Please insert the disc labeled: 'Ubuntu 9.10 _Karmic Koala_ - Release i386
(20091027)' in the drive '/cdrom' and press enter."
