for me , the solution #16
and the replacement of libnss_ldap.so.2 from package libnss-ldapd
worked fine. my machine reboots!
The package libnss-ldap is old and contains
the symlink libnss_ldap.so.2 -to-> libnss_ldap-2.15.so ( /lib/i386-linux-gnu/ )
libnss_ldap-2.15.so is dated of 2012-07-18

on my 14.04.4 after installing the metapackage ldap-auth-client
i detected the problem because the metapackage
includes libnss-ldap (auth-client-config, ldap-auth-config, libnss-ldap and
libpam-ldap)

i solved temporarily this problem with "sudo mount -o remount,rw /" and
copying my ringtones to "/usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/ringtones/" via "sudo
cp myringtone.ogg ..."
he final solution, (i hope) will be the possibility to set individual
ringtones in contacts. maybe in release 16.04.

my ringtone was suddenly too low on BQ Aquaris 4.5 . Also the Sound of a
car-navigation software, p.ex. OSSCOUT (sounds are mp3 or ogg).
even when turning the Sound to max withe the buttons outside the screen , it is
also too low.
I solved the problem by opening a musicfile
on my XPS13 9333 it works since I had upgraded to 14.04 .
For the kdm (KDE) the boot was too fast and i had vertical lines
(|||) on the display. Therefore i added two times a sleeptime of 1
or 2 seconds in the shellscripts executed during boot.

I think there is another bug in the intel-graphics on my dell xps13 9333.
when i do a $ sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop ... use of lightdm ... the
sceen shows white patterns like " ...".
I've changed the greeter to unity(ubuntu) -> the same problem. In some cases
