Last crash happened so, that I just locked screen (super+l) and left to
daily meeting. After coming back my external screens didn't wake up. I
opened the lid and saw login screen.
This happens 2-3 times in a week.

I have been now testing this and I think this is related to Xen. I have
been running system now without Xen hypervisor and using bonnie++ same
way and my system haven't crashed.

I tried with mainline kernel v3.2-rc2-oneiric and same problem exists.
We have also changed hardware (the raid controller and it's battery) and
it didn't help either.
This problem exists in Dell R510 Which is allmost the same as R710.
Atleast both have same Perc 6/i (MegaRAID SAS 1078) raid contro
I checked raid controllers bios and it showed no errors for the disks or
virtual disks.

I have ubuntu server 11.10 (amd64) installed on my dell R510 with
Perc6/i. I am using xen hypervisor and I have one guest at the moment.
Under io load (guest) my dom0 freezes and after couple minutes I get
following dump:

It seems that i have same problem. It hasn't work after I upgraded to
ubuntu 10.10

I patched qemu-kvm (0.12.3+noroms-0ubuntu9) with patch
(http://marc.info/?l=qemu-devel&m=127436114712437) and compiled but
still my 4TB partition corrupts.
I have setup where I have 4TB partition (from LVM) as a virtio-device in
qemu-kvm. I have LVM also inside virtual machine and having 4GB part
I mean my motherboard is Asus M2N-VM SE with integrated GeForce 6100.

I have same kind of problem in Hardy Heron. My hardware is Asus M2N-VM
SE and with Samsung 24BW digital flat panel (1920x1200). It worked well
with Gutsy Gibbon.
