I fixed problem by adding this line to my /etc/init/ modem-manager.conf
:
stop on runlevel[0]
Now my shutdown time has been brought down to nearly 5 seconds (from
15-20 seconds).

I had problems reproducing exactly the same error. I got it to freeze
up, and the error pop coming up, though.
The debug-file is rather extensive, but you probably have good filters,
to clean it up. And thanks for the work and quick response, much

Still having the problem. I just wanted to mention, that this is not a
i386 specific bug. I have a x86_64 system and i get the same bug as John

I am suffering from the same problem. When I type in fgfs in the
terminal, it tries to load the default plane, then say segmentation
fault. when I try it from the launcher, it loads up until initializing
subsystems, then closes itself out. Anyone have a solution? By the way,
I am running Ubuntu Jau

I haven't felt any effects on the system and no malfunctions. Maybe it
has to do with standby function. My ubuntu machine doesn't support
that. Thats all i can think off.
