[Bug 1199933] Re: apparmor parser in precise does not support block_suspend capability (needed for backported kernels)

2013-09-14 Thread Kai Krueger
If you install 12.04.3, this bug occurs even with the default kernel now, which appears to be 3.5.0. Dovecot appears to require the block_suspend to function. At least I haven't been able to get dovecot working in enforce mode and the block_suspend was the only thing that I could see being denied.

[Bug 1175547] Re: photo viewer closes by itself when opening picture

2013-05-18 Thread Kai Krueger
I still have this all the time, with a wide range of jpegs. Sometimes when I open them eog is stable, but very often it crashes about a second after loading (and showing the image) for the same image. It sounds like this is the same issue, so I'll add to this bug report: I am also on Ubuntu 13.04

[Bug 1045925] [NEW] "High" CPU usage when empathy is idle in IRC

2012-09-04 Thread Kai Krueger
Public bug reported: Hello, when using empathy-chat on the latest quantal builds, I see relatively high CPU usage of empathy-chat when it is idle in the background connected to an irc chat session. Even with no activity on irc and the empathy windows in the background, the empathy-chat process c

[Bug 889068] Re: eog logs me out when I try to turn right or left an image

2011-12-06 Thread Kai Krueger
I think I might also be seeing this (or a similar) bug I also occasionally get logged out because Xorg crashes and then automatically restarts. Most of the time so far it has been when coming out of suspend-to-ram, but today it has also happened after trying to start an image with eog. I haven't

[Bug 397617] Re: brightness no more working on karmic (KMS)

2010-04-13 Thread Kai Krueger
It works fine for me on a MacBook 4,1 and I didn't need any further patches. But I am running Karmic with only the kernel updated to 2.6.32-19-generic from the kernel-ppa and xorg still from karmic. Thanks for fixing this. -- brightness no more working on karmic (KMS) https://bugs.launchpad.net/b

[Bug 96692] Re: ata_piix used instead of AHCI for Mac Pro

2009-04-09 Thread Kai Krueger
I am having the same issue on my macbook. 9.04 beta is using the ata_piix driver instead of the AHCI driver. As others mentioned earlier in this thread, the problem seems to be that the Apple bios emulator puts the controler into legacy mode (for which the ata_piix probably is the correct driver).

[Bug 174759] Re: Eclipse crashes due to jvm crash

2008-04-14 Thread Kai Krueger
Thanks, disabling "automatic building" seems to have fixed it for me. Previously I had tried it with a variety of Java versions (sun java 1.6, sun java 1.7beta, iced tea) and several eclipse versions (3.2, 3.4M6a) and all showed the same problem. It does also seem to have something to do with the

[Bug 162083] Re: macbook3, 1 and apple aluminum keyboards fn key does not work

2008-03-09 Thread Kai Krueger
Kernel 2.6.24-12.18 works nicely for me on a MacBook 4.1. I do see the same "problem" as Mario though that one needs to press fn to get at the fx keys rather than the special symbols. (So for example to press alt-f4 one now needs to press 3 keys simultaneous) As described by Chris, I can fix it by

Same problem here. For me it seems to have gotten a lot worse since a fresh install of gutsy. Didn't really have the problem with feisty before, but now this happens very frequently (several times an hour). I mostly see it in firefox, but other applications such as thunderbird, eclipse, gnome-sys
