I am so sick of bugs like this in Ubuntu. Every single time I upgrade I
regret it. Is this going to be available anytime this century or do I
need to learn to juggle configuration scripts?

I ran the following commands.
cd /var/crash && sudo rm * ; sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y
upgrade && sudo apt-get -y install libreoffice-dbg uno-libs3-dbg ure-dbg

and then I got the crash file associated below.

So, I'm confused. If i use apport to report this bug with my system is
it just going to be deleted again? I submitted it an hour ago and
somebody deleted the bug without even giving me an explanation. Maybe
I'm doing this wrong, but a message or two would be nice rather than not
having ANY informat

Yes. It happens constantly.

Type. Anything. No specific combination of words seems to trigger it. I took a
screenshot as the program was crashing and the last word entered was "THIS". I
have had it crash on

Basically I'm typing on a regular Libroffice document. Its a document
that is about 40 pages long. Has no graphics in it and is using Droid
Serif font. Most everything is still set to the defaults. I have some
custom words in the dictionary that I added, that is about it.

It happens to me several times a day when im writing. i lose a lot of
work when that happens. obviously i try to to autosave and i save it
myself constantly, but i still lose a couple paragraphs here and there
which is annoying.
I have a 10mb crash file it produces everytime that has this in it;

I completely agree with the latter comments. I love open source, but I
had this problem on a computer while i was trying to convince somebody
to use Ubuntu.
Now how do you think that conversation went?
Frankly, when this stuff happens and its such a pain, I find myself
