and the test did not respond on the fingerprint reader test (not frozen but not
responding) so I could not finish the tests.

The new gnome-volume-control for 9.10rc has no jack mode options.
In the old one I could change from stereo to 5.1 (using all three rear jacks).
In ubuntu 9.04 I could change jack mode to use my 5.1 speakers, now I
have no choice: stereo only.
