shiki,
That's a tricky question. As you can see the bug is in progress
currently, but before being released it needs to be tested by the
community and follow all the steps required to ensure that it really
solves the problem. it depends on how easy is the bug to solve and how
fast the fixer works
I've been reading on the Internet that this bug is quiet common among
audacious' users. I'm currently using Ubuntu 12.04 (quantal) with gnome
classic (no effects) and I'm experimenting the same issue. Hope it to be
solved as soon as possible.

I've noticed that disabling fading windows, borders come back as well.
However, I have to carry out this process every time I turn on my
laptop.

vanvugt,
This bug is also present in Precise. Sometimes expo's borders appear and
sometimes not. Are you going to release a fix for Precise as well?

Hello everybody again. I've found a better way to fix this issue.
Basically it is based on my last post but with a little difference. On
close animations, in the first fade click on edit and erase 'normal'
which is at the end of the line. Now close and the ugly square will have
dissappeared.

Is somebody carrying out the SRU procedure? It would be fine to get the

Whoopie, I have been waiting for the release of this fix since last
April, but nothing has been done. I think that this issue should has
already been solved for Precise.
Now I'm using Kubuntu, because the only way to use Ubuntu in my old
laptop is with gnome-panel. I hope this to be solved as soon
Hi Whoopie,
Is it an official update or just your personal fix? Could you add an
screenshot to see how this works?
Thank you!

Hi Jochen,
This doesn't happen to me. I have always opened Thunderbird on desktop 2
and using desktop 1 as the main desktop and no app goes to desktop 1.
Have you tried to restart your computer?

I have discovered that the vast majority of bugs are related to Compiz
because it comes configurated for Unity. To solve this fix follow the
next steps:
1. Go to Compiz settings manager / General / General Options
2. Once there go to the last tab named Desktop size
3. In the horizontal virtual siz
I have discovered how to fix this issue:
1. Go to Compiz preferences / Animations / Close animations
2. Double click on the first Fade animation and change it for None.
Now you still keep the effect without the ugly black square!
