firmware_1.201.tar.xz, copied folder ar3k into /lib/firmware
bluetooth found and seems to work
wifi still does not work ( 02:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros
QCA9565 / AR9565 Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01) ) on Dell Inspiron

Lubuntu works well on this machine. It's an old Dell optiplex 780 with

troubleshooting led me to:
edit /etc/gdm3/custom.conf and uncommented #waylandenable=false
edit /etc/default/grub
amended GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="q
They look really really ugly can't they be the same as the normal
window buttons, but with a lighter shade of colour?
