Yes, that makes sense. I would look further into it if I had any idea
where to search, but I don't know how an application registers global
shortcuts neither what files are run when I run the dash (since that
should be the place where the registration is taking place)... If anyone

Oops, looks like I misused the word upgrading... To me the upgrade was to go
from 10.10 to 11.10 but it did not mean an actual upgrade, I actually did a
full reinstall (to avoid the problems I usually have when doing an upgrade)!

As far as I know, “evolution --express”, doest not run the calendar.
Only “evolution”…see Screenshot1.png
Now Screenshot4.png:
Is this you asked? I can imagine it won’t fit in a 600 screen, but only in 768
(my case)

It's re-sizable from all 4 corners.
Can only try it in 1024x768 and 600x480 (no good here...)
Maybe because this is just a beta (UBU 11.04) all is in English. My
first test (UBU 10.10) where I had the problem was in PT language...
Take a look at the screen images.

Cannot "shrink it" at all here with ubuntu, but it works fine in kubuntu.
