A better work around is to click on the panel network icon and not move
the mouse, use the keyboard arrows to highlight the item you want to
select then press enter. This way you do not have to disable autohide
each time.

I figured it out by attaching to the process with gdb and doing a

remote logins on a regular basis. I became suspicious that there was
something particular to what I was doing based on how few people were
affected by this. Her

The bug affecting dual monitors was to keep things from going off the
edge of the screen of the smaller monitor. In fixing that bug the signal
to pan in xorg was disabled due to the fact the mouse does not go off
the screen to signal the need to scroll.
Some apps will not work on small screens giv
I am thinking I might have to fix this myself if I want it fixed. A bit
of thought is needed to avoid making the bug where things are lost in
multi-monitor displays not come back when fixing this. I do not have
time to fix this currently but I have found a workaround for small

Unfortunately I do not have time to triage this myself, normally I like
to post solutions with bug reports. In any case I would like to see some
priority given to this, certain system menus in Linux have poor UI
