Besides, GIMP 2 and David's Batch Processor (and the entire gimp-plugin-
registry package) are obsolete on Ubuntu 25.04 (Plucky), which comes

, the issue is not even in GIMP, but in the David's Batch Processor,
which is no longer being maintained. And GIMP 2 is obsolete now as well.
For the current GIMP 3, there is the new Batcher plug-in offering the
same function
