Yea it works fine if you just give it some time, you dont even have to
open a doc and bang on the keys, just do whatever you need to do. It
will "unfreeze" after it generates the crypt key. I would also have to
agree that this is a pidgin/pidgin-otr issue and bugs/reports should be
pushed too https
I am having the same issue on Ubuntu 14.10 x86_64 on 3.16.0-29-generic,
when the issue occurs no keyboard inputs register at all. Mouse inputs
work fine to say rename, copy, paste, the navigation keys will work
unless I am renaming file/folder then no keyboard inputs including

I am having a similar issue on Ubuntu 14.10 x86_64 on 3.16.0-29-generic,
but my mouse commands work fine and any keyboard input does not register
at all. When this happens I have to close and relaunch most of the time
that fixes it but sometime even that doesn't and then i have to go ahead
and rest

I have the same issue, ubuntuone-syncd uses an extreme amount of cpu
for the first few minutes after login. I am running and Intel NUC
D54250WYK.
