I'm experiencing the same. Didn't do any config changes for apparmor.
After using the computer some time, suddenly no processes can be spawned
any more, because all fail with a message similar to the one above.
Any hints how this could be debugged?

What I found out is: there's no x64 driver for both AC'97 and ES1370 for
Windows. 64bit Chipsets would have no AC'97, so there is only the
Realtek driver which doesn't work well. And ES1370 is a very, very old
audio chip which is probably only supported for legacy reasons but only
in the 32bit vers
Jaunty contains xrandr 1.2.99.4 (see
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/x11-xserver-utils/7.4+1).
Between 1.2.99.4 and 1.3.0 are only 4 commits. I bisected the problem

FYI: xrandr 1.3.0 built from source works as expected.

this could well be a bug in the xrandr client tool. The xrandr client
tool always uses CurrentTime, instead of the precise timestamp as
returned from XRRGetScreenResources. What still escapes me, is why

I think I've might be experiencing the same bug: soon after resume (<30
seconds) the display freezes with the symptoms as described above.
Two additional observations:
1.) It is still possible to switch virtual terminals. (This is a real
difference to the other sporadic freezes I experience rare

After some time of working characters start to disappear. I don't know
what is going on. I attached two screenshots. As you can see 'r' is not
shown at all.
Itrseems to be constraint to some fonts. Sans and Vera Bitstream Sans
don't work, while FreeSans is ok.
Any idea?

Since the change introduced for #191889, NetworkManager comes up from
suspend or hibernate with state CONNECTED. This is sent to DBus as well.
This is a problem since all the interfaces are down yet.
