I have been working out of the office for some weeks now without access
to the dock.
Been back for a while now and some update since then have fixed the issue.
Have been daily for a few days now connecting and disconnecting from dock and
it has worked without any flaws.
I can no longer reproduc

When connecting a awake and running laptop to Dells docking station the desktop
crashes and shows the disk encryption password login prompt:
