Sorry, I can no longer generate the crashes since I switched to another
distro. I omitted the second coredump since I was afraid that bits of
private information would be embedded into it (it is an email program).
I'm still worried about the first coredump I hastily posted & I would

It was still an issue for me. "Was" because the problem persisted until

It closed itself again (first time running since the first reported
crash). Seemed to have lost most of the email folders (started to re-
download them from the IMAP servers). Seems to close when I select an
email to read.
Tried opening Thunderbird again. This time, the folders were still
there
