To claim this bug is of a non-essential piece of hardware is ridiculous.
The monitor, both on desktops and laptops, and it's associated power
management is nothing less than critical. This should be changed back
to "critical." A regression this glaring and visible is very

I agree that the copy-on-import is a critical feature to remain. I have
100GB+ of music and don't want to have to manually manage the directory
structure.
This can be very easily rectified by patching the copy-to-import
function to specifically exclude the "Purchased from Ubuntu One" folder.

I would suggest changing it so that the copy-on-import feature always
excludes the "Purchased from Ubuntu One" folder. I often use the copy-
on-import feature since it automatically renames the files and sets up
the directories cleanly with no input from myself.

This bug was actually fixed by HP about 2 months ago. Their latest BIOS
firmware upgrade repairs the ACPI bug that prevented resume on various
HP laptops, most notably the latest DV series and all HDX series.
The downside is to flash the BIOS with this update, you need to use
Windows for that one
They released a BIOS update for the HDX 16 that fixed it as well! I'm
shocked that they responded on this... I never thought I'd say it, but
kudos to HP's BIOS team!
Also, thanks to Paul and everyone who contributed! Good luck to anyone
who is still hanging on.
