I've just upgraded to updates-proposed (linux-firmware 1.183.5), but it
still doesn't work:

I have the same problem on a Dell Inspiron 7590 (see #1868465). Suspend
was also not properly working. The proposed kernel 5.3.0-43 on Eoan does
not fix the missing sound device bug for me.

with a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 Gaming OC Pro 6G graphics card (rev
2.0), on a Gigabyte Z370P D3 motherboard. Blacklisting stops the

Happens on my system too (18.04 with latest updates). Works fine in
Windows 7. Motherboard is a Z370P D3. I've also tried a USB wifi adapter
which had the same problem. A laptop also running Ubuntu 18.04 has no
problem.

extension libraries installed which are being loaded instead of the ones
in the package. Veusz includles qtloops.so, which is built against sip.
