Looking at the changelogs, the problem started with 2.4.5+dfsg-0ubuntu3
when libopencv-ocl was added to the dependencies of libopencv. This is
quite a reasonable change I think, but libopencv-ocl has the virtual
package libopencl1 as a dependency.
According to the Debian Policy Manual (http://www
To work around this issue I have installed the generic provider of
libopencl1:
sudo apt-get install ocl-icd-libopencl1
sudo apt-get autoremove
Hope this helps

OK, I have retested with v3.12-rc3-saucy and get the same result as with
3.12.0-999-generic on the Gigabyte Z77X-D3H. Still no kernel panics
yet.

Hi,
Sorry, I used the wrong kernel despite your kindly provided link.
I have installed v3.12-rc3-saucy on some different hardware (Intel H61
Express chipset with ASMedia ASM1042 USB 3.0 controller). When killing
a process accessing the UVC device, all connected USB devices become

Hi,
Thanks for the speedy response.
I have installed 3.12.0-999-generic and so far I haven't had any kernel
panics, but it is an intermittent problem, so I am reluctant to say that
the problem is resolved in the mainline yet. Also, although there have
not yet been any kernel panics, the USB UVC

Here's the backtrace. This may be a duplicate of bug #437327. Sorry if

While experiencing bug #442157, repeatedly trying to play tracks results
in rhythmbox hanging.

Checked the gstreamer documentation and it says autoaudiosink is part of the
"good" plugin set - which is installed.
Also the following command generates a test tone:
gst-launch -v -m audiotestsrc ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! autoaudiosink

I am suffering the same problem. The first time I try to play an mp3 in
rythmbox, there is no sound but the app behaves like it is playing. If I
then try to play another mp3 I get the message "The autoaudiosink
element is missing". MP3s play fine in mplayer.

I use Ubuntu for embedded ARM development. I built a cross compiler and
used apt-cross to cross compile the necessary dependencies using a
