I just came across the same problem after downloading a .jp2 file off
the web (Running Ubuntu 10.10). Looking at !/.xsession-errors.old I
found:
ICC Profile CS 52474220
nautilus: jp2_dec.c:299: jp2_decode: Assertion `dec->image->cmprof_' failed.
Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
Delet
I can confirm that option #3 in message #2 works for me.

I too was experiencing a hibernation hang running Ubuntu 8.10 - Intrepid
Ibex with the 2.6.27-11-generic kernel. I did not have a problem
hibernating in 8.04, so I figured there could be a new kernel module
conflict. I experimented with removing different kernel modules before
hibernating and not
