This bug also affects fresh installations. I just installed Lucid and
only the first user who logs in have the nm-applet icon.

Compaq nc 6220: screen flickering after lid closed.
The version 10.04 of Ubuntu is installed on my Compaq nc6220.
Everything is fine, except for the present bug.
When the laptop lid is closed and re-opened, the bug appears.
Almost every time the keyboard is used,

Same bug with Firefox (3.5.8 & 3.6), and Chromium (5.0.365.0 &
5.0.307.11)!
I was testing ajaxterm and it was working perfectly! After a few minutes
I got this bug.
I can't access the server right now (that's why ajaxterm...), so I can't
try restarting ajaxterm daemon, but I guess it would help.
Same bug with FF 3.5.8, FF 3.6,
