Seems that you were using unestable version of glib and gtk libraries.
Could you try with the current versions of glib (2.30), gtk+ (3.2) and
power-indicator (0.9) and try to reproduce the bug?
I cant reproduce here so seems that It was fixed.

I can use the left/right keyboard arrows to navigate through the different
indicators without any problems here. I have a Oneiric instalation updated as
today.
Be sure that you have the 0.3.0-0ubuntu4 version of libido3 or later.
