Every time I run aptitude update, the /var/lib/aptitude/pkgstates is
updated again, so I guess a change in behavior from 18.04 perhaps!

This affects 20.04 as well, as it actually happens every time aptitude
update is executed. This effectively makes apt-mark hold pointless for
me!

Manthis, there are two workarounds available. The nmcli definately
works, but you need to know your SSID, for instance I have a SSID for my
phone access point which I can manually connect to when I encounter this
issue:

firefox launching at start up can't pu
I need to install an older version of firefox because of compatibility
issues with selenium, and trying to uninstall firefox also uninstalls
ubuntu-mate-core, wtf.

I have the same problem as ondre on ubuntu 8.10 and Brasero 0.71. trying
to burn DVDs - the DVD burns correctly but then fails to do integrity
check and there is not additional information other than the operation
not supported message. Basically what happens is the disc burns
