I am beginning to think that the crash is caused by firefox as it often
happens while I am typing in the firefox address bar. Also gconf cannot
be contacted after the crash. Bug 557514 mentions this but is fixed in
Maverick so should not be present.

When I ran two instances of burnK7 my cpu did not step up from 800 GHz,
but last night when I was watching a video on iPlayer I noticed that it
did start stepping up (top reported *over* 100% CPU usage). If anyone
can explain how I can test this bug I would be happy to do so.

After waking from suspend, videos (both flash videos and normal videos
played with mplayer) are jerky and stutter. This is not due to bandwidth
