This bug occurred while upgrading from 23.10 to 24.04. I had replaced
snap chromium by a deb from a ppa before.

I found a solution : the problem comes, as I think, from fbdev, that is
used by default and doesn't correctly handle xrandr. By using
modesetting driver, it works.
Here is what I did :
− I installed xserver-xorg-video-modesetting from xorg-edgers ppa ;
− I put that in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/00
