Why is this considered as a duplicate of #217389? I just installed
Karmic and I'm experiencing this and I'm not using Simple Backup.

I haven't been able to reproduce this crash since Ibex went final. I'll
keep my eyes peeled, though.

Smashing my head against this right now. I see that those Jaunty
packages depend on newer versions of libc and stuff. I'm currently
running Intrepid but this is a production box and I don't really want to
use a development version. Any chances that those libc packages will
break my current install?
Adding "please" won't fix the bug in launchpad. Adding spam filters
isn't the solution either, you just have to stop sending messages that
you already know won't work. This is stupid.

So much for the "linux geeks". They don't even read our messages.

They're trying to unsubscribe from the list, not noticing that it doesn't
work like that. No matter how many time we say that you have to unsubscribe
from launchpad, they keep trying. Over and over again.

Yes,
Go to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183685, log-in. Look for the
"Unsubscribe" link on the right (you might need to scroll a little).
I'm interested in this bug, but I just can't stand anymore "unsubscribe"
spamming.

Can you people please stop sending "unsubscribe"?
