After upgrading from Ubuntu 23.10 to Ubuntu 24.04, I could no longer use
Wayland. Logging in with Wayland resulted in a black screen.
A potential cause of the issue was that the update-initramfs procedure
reported some missing i915 modules.

In my case I think it flickers badly because of the "Night Light"
feature that is not working properly. Once I disable the feature, the
flicker is less annoying.

Hi,
I have encountered the same issue after upgrading to Ubuntu 22.04.
For me the fix was to reinstall the `gstreamer1.0-pipewire` package.
`sudo apt reinstall gstreamer1.0-pipewire`

The same happen with my XPS 13. Since a couple of days I have noticed
this annoying hiss. I use Ubuntu 19.04.
The workaround also fixes the issue for me (amixer -c 0 set 'Headphone
Mic Boost',0 1)

It this is a kernel bug then booting an older kernel should avoid this
issue, right? I have tried on a 3.19.0.25 kernel and the issue is still
there. I have also installed v3.19.8-ckt6 and the display port issue is
still there.
