Some notes:
1. Screen does not blank; fan still running; seems to be scaled but not
suspended
2. Problem still occurs with 2.6.31-020631-generic
3. By the looks this machine is in an incomplete 9.10 upgrade.. I did not use
update manager, just
"apt-get dist-upgrade." My next task will be to wor

Just following AppPort instructions. I tried to suspend and got what
appeared to be a wedged machine. Power light, fan, etc. still run.
Forced to hard power off machine.
ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming
Same problem here until I installed libginac1.4.
Presumably that is a missing dependency of octave-symbolic.
