I have managed to fix this issue myself although exactly what was wrong I can only speculate... A while ago i manually installed one of the betas for firefox 3 (before upgrading to Hardy) I installed this alongside firefox 2 so I could run both versions. Then upon upgrading to Hardy the Firefox 3
