once trying perform manual update getting:

I found the following on the git.kernel.org webpage:

but have no idea how this can help solve my issue :(

I'm getting the same problem on Ubuntu 10.10 with USB Audio device. No
issue while plugging in device but once trying to unplug my system
freezes with white screen and no response on any keys combinations -
only hard reset works :(

device. Everything freezes, screen gets white and only hard reset
helps...
