I have two systems that were suffering from the problem, on one a
yakkety -> zesty upgrade fixed the issue and on another a new zesty
install also did not experience the problem

Actually looking at what nvidia-367 does it adds its own nouveau
blacklist, so if you have these packages you probably already have one
in there. Which I guess is why all the "manual reset from the TTY"
guides make sure you do a full purge of nvidia-* before attempting to
reboot into nouveau

After removing nvidia-364 and installing nvidia-367(.18) from a TTY
before rebooting I still cannot get my external monitor to work. When I
connect it via HDMI it flickers a lot and unless I unplug the HDMI after
the first couple of flickers goes completely black.

This can be recreated; whenever I try to complete a windows XP install
over VNC in a DomU - the dom0 crashes during its initial 'moving files
into installation folders' stage. This is presumably a high I/O

Hey all, whenever I use a line such as:
tap:aio:/home/xen/domains/beastie/freebsd7bootonly.iso,hdc:cdrom,r' in
my config (attached) i get a 'boot device failed : 0003' error - this
not only happens with this freebsd image but also 6 different windows XP
images i tried to boot
For anyone with this problem in the meantime, just create a symlink
between /etc/xen and /etc/xen/scripts e.g.
ln -s /etc/xen/scripts/qemu-ifup /etc/xen/qemu-ifup
